Interaction of various medicines

The only known type of medication that interacts with omega-3 fatty acids is anti-coagulant medication (blood thinners) because omega-3 may increase the anti-coagulant effect. If you are planning to take omega-3 supplements, it is important that you consult your physician. Based on anti-coagulant tests, your physician will determine the dosage of the anti-coagulant medication.
